Life with a newborn

Now that we have Abigail in our lives and with us every single day, cuddling and loving on her, I couldn't imagine us without her. She's like a perfect piece to our puzzle. She is pure perfection. Everyone asks how we like not getting much sleep, but I must say that Abby is a very good baby. When she is awake, she's wide awake and so alert, just looking around with her big, bright eyes and when she sleeps, she's sleeps...."like a rock" ((as her Daddy would say)) She definitely gets that from her Daddy too. As a matter of fact, from the whole Kelsey side of the family, LOL. Don't get me wrong, she's had her nights/days but I couldn't ask for a better baby. So far, so good.

Moving on to the spoiled part of a baby...yes, she already is, she was before she was ever born, but I wouldn't have it any other way right now. I know, I know, I'm probably gonna hear a lot of "you're gonna wish you hadn't done that, etc" in a few months but really..right now I live for loving on her and cuddling with her and taking care of her every need. Soon enough, she's going to be such an independent toddler who wants nothing to do with her "Mommy". Time flies and I'm gonna enjoy every little minute with my girl! :))

Justin & I both have adjusted very well with having her here. I remember everyone telling us the first few nights were going to be a nightmare but actually with Abby, those were probably the best nights we've had. Maybe that's because I didn't really get woken up by her crying, because I was already on the edge of the bed just waiting her to hear her move. You really do get that Mommy instinct when it comes to being a light sleeper once a baby is around. I jump up to any sound she makes! LOL & of course ((going back to that Kelsey hard sleeper thing)) Justin doesn't budge at night when she wakes up! haha I don't mind it though because it's not like he can do a whole lot for feeding her. 9 times out of 10, she wakes up, eats, I change her, and she goes right back to sleep. I probably shouldn't brag on this because I'm most likely jinxing us! LOL

Anyways, Justin is a wonderful Daddy! Seriously, in the first two weeks, he probably changed more diapers than I did! He loves his baby girl and she thinks he hung the moon. I'm not lying, she looves to be with him. I have so many pictures already of her laying on his chest just rocking in the recliner. So sweet. He has also been the best cook/maid too! I have to give him kudos times a million for this. I never once had to ask for anything, he was always right there. He is most certainly the best Daddy and husband ever.
I am such a lucky Mama!

We have already taken her out several times! We enjoyed a day in Myrtle Beach visiting Aunt KK and have been back to the beach once more since then. She's a beach bum already! haha ;) gotta love it! She has also been out to lunch/dinner a few times too! She's not shy to the world! & we don't want her to be!

We are currently waiting to go to her 2 month appointment 08.18.10 ((first shots, eeek)) Mama's not looking forward to this one! :( Other than that we are just loving each day with our girl and trying to be the best parents we know how to be!

Life with a newborn....is fantastic :)

  2. aw! thanks Meggan! :)) Yeah, I guess you're right! I'm just not looking forward to those days when she does get too big for kisses and gets embarrassed for Mommy loving! haha

I am definitely spoiling her like crazy! I can already barely put her down. She thinks she NEEDS to be held 24/7. & Aunt Meggan can spoil her all she wants too! <3 She is loving all her super adorable new clothes!
