long time, no see!

Hey ya'll! whew, it's been almost a whole year since I've been on the blog! Even just looking at my last publish of my sweet girl at TEN MONTHS makes me so teary! Brings a whole new meaning to the saying, "time flies, when you're having fun!" So, hopefully I'll try to get back into full swing with blogging!
Here's the scoop these days--we have certainly had one heck of a year, that's for sure! Lots of ups and downs, but mostly just loving our girl and trying to make the most out of each day we are given! Everyone already knows, but we are also expecting again! God knew our family only has room for one Princess at the moment so he has blessed us with a little man! We are grateful for our children and can't wait for Braxton to come into this crazy, beautiful world! He is due June 30th and it just can't come soon enough for this Mama! We haven't officially given him a middle name yet, but he will most likely be named after his Daddy which will be Braxton Matthew. Everything is going great so far and he sure is growing like a weed!

Miss Abby Kate is still our dainty little girl but getting bigger by the minute! She is so smart, and very outgoing! There is never a dull moment with her! She keeps us on our toes! She's learning so many new things! She can count to 5 (with help) but hey, it's a start! She skips 1 when we say it and moves on to 2 but that's okay with us! She loves kitties, puppies, moo cows, Elmo, reading, and she has to feed herself! Sometimes I think she's a little too big for her britches!

Justin and I are heading to Cookeville, TN for the night while Abby is spending the night with MiMi and PawPaw! Justin has an important meeting tomorrow with the guy over the wildlife/fisheries department at Tennessee Tech University, which will determine what our future holds (at least for the next few years) We are also going to spend the rest of the day exploring the town! I honestly hope we either love it or hate it so there is no in-between factors on deciding if he will be applying! If so, we are looking to move there this summer (after Braxton arrives) so he can start in the fall! Possible big changes to come! Fingers crossed and prayers needed and appreciated!

Stay tuned, it's Easter weekend so there will be tons of Abby cuteness to share! This post doesn't even put a dent in all the things that have happened within the last year but I'm thinking instead of back tracking, I'll just move forward and start fresh! Feels good to be back!

What energy?

Ahh, not to be a drama queen but I seriously am so tired allll the time. I feel like I have no energy whatsoever. Guess I better get use to that huh? haha Oh, the joys of being pregnant! ;)
And of course my lovely husband just doesn't understand, I swear I think he thinks I am superwoman!! No, he does "get it" but he still gives me a hard time about it. Boys, gotta love 'em! I really wish they had to go thru at least one day that a woman goes thru! Honestly, I'd even take that one day as a guy if it could show them how much different it is! LOL I would have more fun watching them than teaching them I guess! (could you see your husband changing a tampon? hehe)

Anyways, still not a whole lot going on around here. The doctor's nurse called yesterday telling Justin that he needed to go up on his dosage of meds so now he takes 3 pills a day instead of just 2. Hopefully, that will help control his seizures better! Well that's about it for today, pretty boring, I know! Sorry!!

Oh wait, I did just apply for a job as a leasing consultant on base with AMCC housing so maybe I will be talking about that soon! Although, I'm sure there were tons and tons of applicants and I don't stand a chance but I'm still hoping I get it! It would be a lot of help since we have a baby on the way! Any little bit helps with that anyday!

Only one week & 6 days till we find out what our lil stinker is!!
We are sooooo excited! :)

MIA

Sorry!! I have been away for a while! Just have a ton on my plate right now!

Sooo, the latest news is I am 17 weeks tomorrow and have my anatomy scan to find out what our lil stinker is on Feb. 11th. We are so excited and can't wait to find out!! And of course I will be letting everyone know as soon we know! :)

Justin had another seizure yesterday so we spent the majority of our day in the ER. They monitored him and did blood work and as soon as the results came back and were good, they let us go home! I just feel awful for him because this is just such a huge change for us and we are now playing the "waiting game" with the MC to see what happens next. He has a neurologist appointment scheduled for Feb 5th so hopefully we will have a least a few answers!! (fingers crossed) I say a "huge change" for us because we honestly don't know what to expect...6 months to a year from now could possibly be a big turn-a-round for us and he may get discharged from the MC. I am very sad for that (if it even happens) because I love our lifestyle and I love that we have been able to do things that otherwise we may not have ever done or experienced before. As of right now our other option is possibly being able to just change his MOS and stay in. We aren't sure which way we'll be going but we are keeping our heads high and just praying for the best!
Justin is definitely my whole world and I couldn't imagine being without him! I love him so so so much!!

We have a thumb sucker, for sure! :) haha

& here is an updated pic of me & the wonderful hubs :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I hope everyone has had a very Merry Christmas & I hope Santa was good to you all! ;) I spent Christmas alone with with the dogs for the most part but then went to The Stephen's for Christmas dinner! (which was yummy) We had turkey & ham, green-bean casserole, cream corn, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, rolls and several desserts!

Anyways, Christmas this year has been kinda up and down for me, I've gotten good news, bad news, and on top of it all we just haven't had Christmas weather! I was planning to go home for Christmas since Justin is deployed but about a week before I was leaving, he called with horrible news that he had a seizure while in Afghanistan so I was of course freakin out and very scared! (he has never had a seizure before) They send him to Germany to have an MRI & EEG tests done and was there for about a week. During this time, I am just so worried and everyone is prayin for him and hoping that he is okay! This past Tuesday he gets the results and he has Epilepsy and a arachnoid cyst on his brain. So there's the bad news and I just feel bad because I wish I could take it all away from him and him be better! The good news is that they are sending him home early from this deployment. He is really upset that he has to leave because he feels like he needs to finish what he has started and I agree but there's is nothing we can do. I am glad he is coming home just so I can be right here if anything else happens and just so I can take care of him but at the same time I hate that it is under these circumstances. I just never thought this could happen to us. *NEVER take anything for granted because your whole life can change in a blink of an eye*  I'm so ready to see him and just hold him in my arms again. I know it's only been two months but that's still a really long time to go without seeing someone you care for so much and love with your whole heart. However, other than him having to leave his duties, he is excited that he gets to be home for my pregnancy and be there for all the appointments. I look at this as a blessing in disguise, although I don't like the reasons he is being sent home, but for some reason it is just strange to me that he's never had issues with this before and now it's triggered and God has taken him out of that dangerous place. Some may not see it like that but I think he was just meant to be back home with me and his child. I strongly believe that everything happens for a reason. Please pray for him that all of this goes away and he is better! I couldn't imagine not having my lovebug by my side!
So now that Justin is coming home, I decided to decorate on Christmas Eve and put the tree up and I also bought him a few presents so that when he gets home, he come home to Christmas! What kind of wife would I be if I didn't do this for him!? So his huge gift is a Hoyt compound bow that he is going to LOVE!! He already knows he's got it but hasn't seen it yet! So I know he'll still be excited! :) He's been wanting a new bow for a while now so this seemed like the perfect time to get him one! Then I got him a iHome for his ipod and a few other small gifts! I can't wait to seeeee him!!

So the other good news is that my best friend G, who recently joined the Army, is home on her Christmas exodus and I get to see her! I really miss the heck out of her and wishes she could be here all the time to make Sonic runs with me and ask for a slice of cheese (haha) okay, no really, just to be here like old times! BUT I am really glad that she is kickin some butt and takin names in basic and I'm so proud of her! I love you G! :)

Four legged babies

If you already know me then you know my children have four legs and covered in fur! They are so precious.

Daisy, is our brindle, who will be 2 on November 7th. She is the ultimate princess and 100% Daddy's girl! (she can talk him into anything) ;) She will always be my first born! Spoiled rotten is all I can really think right now. haha  I had the most horrid scare a few months ago, Justin was in Mojave Viper and I let the dogs out to go tee-tee and Daisy disappeared! I was so upset! I first was upset that my baby girl was gone and then I was upset because I didn't know how in the heck I would explain to her Daddy that she was gone! It was just a bad day! That was the most I think I've ever cried in my life! Seriously, to the point that I had cried so much, I no longer had tears. Thankfully, both of my dogs have microchips (if you don't have it, I would recommend it) so I finally got her back after an hour or so!

Then we have Tyson, our demon, who is fawn and will be 1 on October 27th. He is the typical little brother, the trouble maker. He is really huge and thinks he's only a few pounds. He will walk all over you and not care. Ha! He is a very big baby too! He can't sleep without his sister (trust me, if we put him up before Daisy, he will bark all night) Can we say annoying? Anyways, he is a year younger than Daisy but weighs twice as much as she does! LOL Of course it's because he is male but it's just so funny to me. He LOVES food too, haha he reminds me of that dog commercial where they are advertising the bacon treats and the dog is like, Bacon? Bacon, bacon, bacon! haha... We are always looking at him and saying, "Food?" He just turns his head like, please! I love my lil monkey boy! (when he whines, he sounds like a monkey, so I gave him that name when he was a baby)

I love my babies so much and talk about them all the time, if you didn't know me, you'd probably think I was talking about my kids because I don't usually refer to them as dogs, I just say their name and go on with what I have to say! I also call them brother and sister, but we haven't decided yet if we will breed them or not. I would probably end up keeping every puppy if we do! haha They defiantly keep me going and on my toes everyday.

Who is your husband and what does he do?

My husband is my whole world and his name is Justin. He is the most amazing guy I know (mainly because he puts up with me) other than that it's because he has so many wonderful qualities! He so sweet, caring, helpful, honest, faithful, and last but not least handsome! Although during hunting and fishing seasons, I am not even known to him, he still tries to do everything possible to make me happy and spoils me without a doubt.  He most certainly holds the key to my heart and always will.

We met our junior year of high school in 2005, started "dating" October 22nd, 2005 and have been inseparable since! (he couldn't get rid of me, even if he tried) Only joking, I always tell him if he ever tried to leave me, I'd just pack my bags and go with him! Let me say that our senior year was very crazy but I wouldn't change anything about it! Everyone knows senior year is the most fun and hectic at the same time. Well he proposed to me a few days before Christmas in 2006 (which by the way took him 3 times) because to hear him tell the story, I kept saying no..LOL So there was a lot of wedding planning going on the rest of our senior year. Along with me turning 18 in April, Senior Prom in May and Graduation in May, then finally we got married June 16th, 2007! The best day of my life!

On to what he does and why he does it, He is my high school sweetheart turned United States Marine and I am very proud of him! He has worked hard to become who he is today! He loves his job as a Motor T mechanic and is very good at it! He fights for our freedom not because he has to but because he wants to! Thank you baby for everything you do! I love you!
